Depolarizing Families

I think most of us are eternally working on how to move through conflict more effectively—myself included! In this workshop, we will explore the topic of political polarization among families: how it affects us and how we might move through it with more hope. Participants of all political, spiritual, and cultural backgrounds are warmly welcomed. We will anchor conversations around the story of Mónica Guzmán and her parents, which is detailed in her book, podcast and TedTalk. We will make use of the Discussion Guide provided for her book but it is just fine to watch the TedTalk or listen to the podcast for exposure to key concepts instead.

In this watch party, I welcome couples to watch the documentary Fair Play. The documentary is 90 minutes. We will watch together, chat as we watch and pause 3 times during viewing to briefly check-in. Total time of workshop 2 hours.

The Uproar: A Novel

This workshop is for the bookworms and audio bookworms out there! I raced through this “social thriller” book in days and couldn’t wait to unpack it with my therapist friends and husband. Read or listen (the audio version is good!), engage with the reflective questions, show up for the zoom conversation, and emerge with 2 hours of continuing education.

Cultivate Stamina

Join this community of therapists committed to the development of clinical stamina. Clinical stamina is what enables us to sustain our vitality in private practice, especially during challenging times. Through the sharing of collective wisdom to work through the practice challenges of these times, we replace the individualistic focus on self-care with a more enduring model of community care.
